Trustee Meeting
April 16, 2013
The Board of Trustees of the Hamilton Public Library met at 6:30 p.m. on April 16, 2013 at the library. Members present were: John Kolditz, Jim Noble, Bob Schneider, Sharon Anderson, Nancy Denton, Cicily Knowles, Dan Reinhardt and Katie Dellavedova,

The meeting was opened by Dan Reinhardt at 6:30 p.m.
MINUTES
John Kolditz moved and Cicily Knowles seconded that the minutes be approved. Motion carried.
BILLS
Sharon Anderson moved and Bob Schneider seconded that the bills be paid. Motion carried.
REPORTS
Friends of the Library-The Friends are planning a Trivia Night in September or October. A 6-8 member team can enter for $10. Prizes will be awarded. A plaque is being planned for the utility building. The group is considering taking large print books to the nursing homes.
Finance-Three CD’s are maturing. The Stock Certificate and the Endowment Fund will be rolled over for a year. $22,000 of CD 51338 will be redeemed and deposited in the Money Market. Cicily Knowles moved and Katie Dellavedova seconded. Motion approved.
Librarian’s Report-Due to computer problems, the hardrive was full, it was suggested that we subscribe to a program from Follett to save data for $850 a year. This amount would be prorated for the last six months. This program would solve the update and upgrade costs.
--An Open House will be held April 18th from 5-7 p.m.
--A Per Capita Grant of $3,032.60 has been received.
--Bids were received from Jerry’s Locksmith. Dan Reinhardt moved that new locks inside and out, keyed alike with multiple keys be installed. Jim Noble seconded. Motion was approved.
--The electrical work at the library is finished.
BUDGET
John Kolditz and Dan Reinhart attended a City Council Finance Committee meeting. The Hamilton Public Library was under budget.
Sharon Anderson made a motion to go into Closed Session. Bob Schneider seconded. Motion carried. The Board went into closed session at 7:23 p.m.
Jim Noble made a motion to end the closed session. Katie Dellavedova seconded. Motion carried.
Katie Dellavedova made a motion that library personnel wages be raised as follows: Nancy Denton 3%, Mary Patterson 4%, Bonnie Wells 3% and Jan Seyfert 2%. Jim Noble seconded. Motion was approved with one nay.
Katie Dellavedova moved that the budget be approved as proposed. Bob Schneider seconded. Motion carried.

Landscaping around the utility building and other areas will be completed soon.
